LIFE\/JOB HISTORY:\u00a0<\/strong>Started work following a Diploma in Agriculture at Lindsay Park before coming to the Hunter Valley. Worked at Turangga Stud for 4 years. Started with\u00a0Craig in December 1995 & still counting…<\/p>\n

FAVOURITE HORSE:<\/b> Broodmares that have nice easy foalings<\/p>\n

INTERESTS:\u00a0<\/strong>Breeding, showing and working clydesdales<\/p>\n

FAVOURITE SEASON:\u00a0<\/strong>Autumn<\/p>\n

LIFE\/JOB HISTORY: <\/strong>Rode competitively for the majority of her life and worked on a number of performance horse studs.\u00a0 After leaving school Carly moved to Wagga Wagga\u00a0to study a Bachelor of Equine Science at Charles Sturt University. \u00a0As part of the course Carly came to Amarina on placement, was offered a job and has been here ever since!<\/p>\n

FAVOURITE HORSE: <\/strong>El Segundo<\/p>\n

INTERESTS: <\/strong>Riding horses and catching up with friends<\/p>\n

SHILO PEEK<\/h3>\n

FOALING ATTENDANT\/STUD GROOM[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”normal” color=”#e0e0e0″ up=”15″ down=”15″][vc_column_text]BORN\/GREW UP: <\/strong>Grew up in the Hawkesbury region but spent a decade on the Mid North Coast.\u00a0 Shilo moved back to Hawkesbury as soon as she was old enough to work with horses.<\/p>\n

LIFE\/JOB HISTORY:\u00a0<\/strong>Shilo has worked with animals since she could walk; in a pet shop, vet clinics, fauna centre, and racing stables.\u00a0 She started her first stud job in 2001 when she was 15 and has been working with thoroughbreds ever since.\u00a0 Shilo is also a qualified vet nurse who specialised in equine nursing.\u00a0 She moved to a farm in the Hunter Valley with her family in 2016 and their new home looked over some beautiful green paddocks filled with horses.\u00a0 Those paddocks were Amarina Farm and Shilo started as a foaling attendant that year and has been enjoying her time at the farm ever since.<\/p>\n

FAVOURITE HORSE:\u00a0<\/strong>Royal Sash<\/p>\n

INTERESTS: <\/strong>Spending time with friends and family on the farm.\u00a0 Shilo also enjoys volunteering when she can, whether it is fundraising for the kid’s school or travelling with animal aid abroad to places like Gili Island to treat the island ponies.<\/p>\n

FAVOURITE SEASON:<\/b> Foaling season<\/p>\n

MOST SATISFYING PART OF YOUR JOB: <\/strong>I love working with the mares in foaling season.\u00a0 The farm and the horses are different at night.\u00a0 The mares become my girls and bonds are formed and I am honoured that the girls trust me to be there when they bring new life into the world.\u00a0 It’s a joy and thrill, the foals are really really cute!![\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”normal”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator type=”normal” color=”#e0e0e0″ up=”15″ down=”15″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
