Oakleigh Plate Aim For Sheidel

The Lindsay Park-trained Sheidel (Holy Roman Emperor x Laventour) is likely to tackle the Oakleigh Plate (Gr 1, 1100m) at Caulfield in February at her next start.

The five-year-old went down narrowly to Takedown (Stratum) when second in the Winterbottom Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) on Saturday and she is due to return to Victoria on Tuesday.

Co-trainer Tom Dabernig added that the UBET Classic (registered as the Robert Sangster Stakes) (Gr 1, 1200m) at Morphettville in May is also a potential target in the autumn.
