{"id":16974,"date":"2017-09-28T00:23:53","date_gmt":"2017-09-28T00:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amarinafarm.com.au\/site\/?p=16974"},"modified":"2017-09-28T00:23:53","modified_gmt":"2017-09-28T00:23:53","slug":"diamond-legend-on-the-board-in-hk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/amarinafarm.com.au\/site\/2017\/09\/28\/diamond-legend-on-the-board-in-hk\/","title":{"rendered":"Diamond Legend on the board in HK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>T<span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">rainer Paul O\u2019Sullivan was pleased to get a win from <strong>Diamond Legend<\/strong> (More Than Ready x Aqua D&#8217;Amore), who scored his first Hong Kong win at start 11 under Sam Clipperton in the Class 4 Begonia Handicap (1200m) at Happy Valley on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The blueblood who was born at Amarina Farm in 2012 is by More Than Ready out of Group One winner Aqua d\u2019Amore.\u00a0 He had won two of his three starts in New Zealand but had struggled to adapt to Hong Kong life since his arrival in March, 2016.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cHe\u2019s a nice horse now, but he took a long time to acclimatise\u201d O\u2019Sullivan said. \u201cThe owners have been very patient. He started to come around last season though, his last run was good and his trial was solid. My only concern today was the barrier (11), but that didn\u2019t end up being an issue as he went back and there was pace on.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cI don\u2019t think the field today was too strong, but I think he\u2019s the sort of horse who will hold his own up in Class 3.
